Well, I finally did it. I opened my own shop. Sort of. It's online, but I have it envisioned in my mind as brick and mortar, with an awning and flowers in the courtyard, only I don't have to be there all day, every day. I can just stop by when I want, and it takes care of itself. There is a link on my website, www.patricialynndesigns, if you want to take a peek. It's a little bare right now, but I'm adding more every day. Those who know me know that it's not about the "selling". It's about the joy of creating, of working in my studio, of "playing" with new ideas and materials. So, although I'll try to be a good businesswoman like all the books say I should, it certainly won't be my main focus. I have to say, though, I just keep going back and looking at my shop - it's just so much fun and my photographs don't look too bad, thanks to Fifi, the torso who is currently vacationing in my studio.
So much creativity! Such beauty! Jewelry seems alive!
